In 2002 we bought a BLM burro, to keep our Quarter horse mare company. She had a baby and I think it is the cutest thing ever.
Even now that he is 4 years old he is cute, fun and personable. Mom was standoffish for about 2 years but we could catch her,
halter her, and trim her feet. She has recently started coming round for her scratches and stands for anything. Her name is
Mama Cass. The baby is Jazz.
During the summer of 2005 I went searching the internet for a cart and harness to train Jazz to drive. That search quickly
turned into looking for everything I could find on miniature donkeys. Holy cow they are cute!
Now I have 6. I have raised and judged chickens, pigeons, diary cows, horses, goats, rabbits and more. At this stage in
my life it seems perfect to breed and raise these adorable creatures.

Turns out we don't have a herd sire and are in the process of finding one. Love to find a proven spotted 32inch or smaller
jack.

Some thoughts and wishes.
March 2006
I got my cart in February. Now, on March 27th, he has been hooked 3 times and doing great. Hard to take pics while driving.
Fall 2005
Jazz is doing really good in harness. The cart should be finished but the weather has turned cold, wet and windy. Maybe
I'll make a stone boat (sled) and have him pull us around when it snows.
I love egroups on driving and donkeys. Recommend it to every one interested and learning.
Plans are to train Jazz and Moma to drive. And when I get miniature boys, geld them, train them to drive and sell them
to good homes.
It would be fun to have a four wheeled buggy, light enough for one standard donkey to pull.
